The duties and the responsibilities of freemason in more details

Masonry is not the religion but the mason is a religion. The mason believes in god and he acknowledges the god before his every creation. Everything, which happens in masonry, is having the reference to the god. It represents the god, speaks to god, it points and leads us to god. Every lodge is made for god and it is made for the god only. Each mason enters in a lodge with the faith and trust in the god. It is also said that the freemason is a godly man. He believes and totally trusts in god. This thing is taught to a mason that before starting the work it is necessary to take the name of the god and never start an important work without the blessing of the deity.

The main thing, which should be reminded by each mason that he has to love and respect his brother without considering the religion, race and creed. You should behave in the same manner to your neighbor, as you want he should behave to you. Symbolically a lodge is extended to:

  • East to west in length.
  • North to south in breadth.
  • From the earth to the highest heavens in height.
  • From surface to the centre in the depth.

Respect yourself and other will respect you. Before loving your neighbor it is necessary that you have to love yourself otherwise you are not able to love others. Love meaning that we have to set an example in front of others so for this we must have inner peace and power to hold ourselves in the high esteems. This thing must be taken under consideration that the great architect called god watches all our actions.

  • RESPONSIBILITY TO LODGE:

The responsibility towards the lodge is to put the mason in the ancient charges. Everyone has the responsibility toward the lodge to which he belongs. But many of them are not interested in taking the responsibility of the lodge, which is very sad. It is necessary to attend all the meetings in the lodge. He is supposed to take care of the lodge by any means and no reason is enough for him to leave the lodge.
